Tavari is the coastal outlet of Mesotopos — a small harbour on the western coast of Lesvos used by fishing boats, with the open western Aegean stretching to the horizon.
A simple taverna serves fish. The western coast is often windy; the harbour provides shelter for boats. How long: 1–2 hours. Best combined with: Mesotopos (village above), Sigri, Skala Eresou. Best for: Fishing harbour atmosphere, coastal drives, western Lesvos.
