This route links the island’s major pilgrimage sites: Saints Raphael, Nikolaos and Irini at Thermi, Panagia Agiasos, Leimonos Monastery near Kalloni, the Taxiarchis Monastery at Mantamados, Panagia Glykofilousa at Petra, Panagia Gorgona at Skala Sykamias and Ypsilou Monastery in the west.
Day 1: Thermi and Mantamados
Begin at Saints Raphael, Nikolaos and Irini near Thermi, then head north to the Taxiarchis Monastery at Mantamados, the island’s most visited pilgrimage site.

Visit Panagia Agiasos in its mountain setting, then drive to the northwest coast for Panagia Glykofilousa atop the rock at Petra and Panagia Gorgona at Skala Sykamias.
