It is a quiet farming village rather than a visitor destination, best treated as one stop on a slow loop through the inland Thermi villages.

It lies in the olive-grove landscape between Thermis and the villages to the north, and makes a pleasant stop on a drive along the eastern coast.
The eastern coast north of Mytilini combines thermal-water history, prehistoric archaeology, olive cultivation and settlements connected with movement across the Aegean. The sea is always present, but the region is more layered than a sequence of beaches.
