Evergetoulas Area
The Evergetoulas area covers the quiet inland territory between the Gulf of Gera and the centre of the island — a landscape of springs, old water mills and agricultural villages connected by olive-grove roads that reward slow exploration.

The Character of the Area
These are working agricultural villages. The springs that feed this part of the island have shaped its settlement patterns — Lampou Myloi takes its name from old water mills, and the area has a green, cool quality in spring that surprises visitors expecting a dry Aegean landscape. A half-day drive through the area connects the villages comfortably.

Evergetoulas Area — Travel Notes
Best explored as a half-day inland loop from Mytilini. Spring is the ideal season — the springs are running, the paths are green and the light is good for photography.
