This route runs from the mountain village of Agiasos, through the quiet olive-grove villages of the Evergetoulas cluster, down to the harbour town of Plomari on the south coast.
Agiasos
Spend the morning in Agiasos: the Panagia Agiasos pilgrimage church, pottery and wood-carving workshops along the cobbled lanes, and coffee in the shaded square.
Where to Stay for This Route

Evergetoulas
Drive slowly through the Evergetoulas villages, Asomatos, Lampou Myloi and their neighbours, stopping wherever a square or spring looks interesting. There’s no fixed itinerary here; that’s the point.

Plomari
Finish on the coast in Plomari: the ouzo museums and distilleries, the Sedountas riverbed through town, and dinner at a harbour taverna. If time allows, add a swim at Agios Isidoros or Ammoudeli beach nearby.
The mountain road between Agiasos and Plomari is winding, so allow more driving time than the distance suggests, especially if you’re stopping often in Evergetoulas.
