The ancient city of Antissa, destroyed in antiquity, lent its name to this settlement. Stone houses, a traditional square and volcanic hills in every direction. Ypsilou Monastery is a short drive away. How long: 1–2 hours. Best combined with: Ypsilou Monastery, Eresos, Sigri, Vatousa. Best for: Slow travel, western Lesvos exploration, volcanic landscape, monastery visits.
