Pyrgi Thermis
Pyrgi Thermis sits above the eastern coast near Loutropoli Thermis and contains remains from one of the oldest continuously excavated prehistoric sites in the Aegean — Bronze Age occupation predating most of what visitors associate with ancient Greece.

The site can be approached on foot from the village; take care on uneven ground. Finds are held in the Archaeological Museum of Mytilini. The village itself is small and traditional, connected to the thermal coast below.
