What to See and Do in Perama
The small car ferry from Perama to Loutra crosses the Gulf of Gera in a few minutes — a practical shortcut saving a long road detour and one of the island’s most pleasant short crossings. Check the current schedule locally before planning a crossing-dependent itinerary.
The tavernas on the waterfront serve fish from the gulf alongside ouzo and simple meze. Come for lunch. Evriaki, Plakados and the other Gera Gulf villages are all within easy reach.
How long: 2–3 hours (harbour + ferry + lunch). Best combined with: Loutra (via ferry), Gera Gulf villages, Papados Olive Press Museum. Best for: Slow travel, local life, ferry experience, food lovers, families.
